To demonstrate the viability of the TCRD approach in Magunguli, farip wants to give up to 50 more farming families the opportunity to show that this mechanism works. For the fourth time, farip is acting as the “bank,” offering farming families in Magunguli loan packages of 2.5 million Tanzanian shillings each. An additional sum is being provided to establish the local TCRD organization through coaching and training of forest rangers, bringing the total cost of each anniversary loan package to CHF 1,000. Eva Mlelwa has received a loan every year since 2023 and is now waiting for her fourth TCRD loan.
